A New You

I got a chance to talk with the woman I will be helping setup a website and marketing plan for. It is a part of A New You on the Alan, Kate, and Matt show on Mix 97.1 in Columbus, Ohio.

She sounds really excited about her business and getting started. That is the moment I love. Hearing about someone’s plan just gets met excited and gives me a rush of adrenaline.

For the blog, we will be tracking our progress and letting everyone in on our process.

To start, I am having her send me an email that includes a full short description of her business concept. She will also tell me more about the vibe she is going for. We will then meet next week and go over what all is involved in getting a website that sells products online and setup. We will also talk about her products and getting an identity and marketing plan.

With Succeeding Steps, my business partners and I really wanted to create a consulting that doesn’t begin with a $10,000 retainer conversation. Small businesses can never afford that. We really want to see all our clients succeed. We also understand how a small business works.

I am personally excited about this opportunity. I will be able to share with all of you that starting a business is not as hard or expensive as you think it is. You don’t have to be stuck in that cubical or dead-end job. There is a small business for everyone. It just takes time, hard work, and a little luck.
